Chapter 1320: The Mermaid Princess (19)
Yin Yao walked up to the podium and glanced at the problem on the blackboard.
He paused slightly.
This was one of the problems he had discussed earlier with that Sea Clan girl who had just arrived in the human world.
Without using his own method, he unconsciously wrote down the solution she had given him.
After finishing, he stared at the concise and elegant steps on the blackboard, feeling somewhat puzzled himself. Why could he remember her explanation so clearly?
Even more strangely, the moment he came up, he had instinctively written down her method.
“Student Yin Yao's approach today is a little different from the one he usually uses. However, this method does exist, and it's actually very simple.”
“I think everyone should learn it.”
The mathematics teacher was extremely satisfied.
Yin Yao spoke unconsciously, “Someone else taught me this method.”
“So that's how it is.” The teacher didn't dwell on it. He was always delighted to see students discussing problems together. “That's even more commendable. Student Yin Yao has finally learned to exchange ideas and study with his classmates.”
Yin Yao: “...”
He wasn't discussing with classmates.
It was a newly arrived Sea Clan member—narcissistic, arrogant, and especially gluttonous.
Naturally, he couldn't be bothered to explain that to anyone.
Placing the chalk aside, he returned to his seat.
Pei Jiang, who sat in front of him, turned around and whispered, “Top student, you actually zoned out?”
“But you're still better than Qiao Chen. Ever since he came back from Class Two of the first year, he's been absent-minded all day. Honestly, I shouldn't have shown him that transfer student's photo.”
“Who would've thought he'd confess and get rejected?”
Pei Jiang was only muttering to himself. He didn't expect a single response from someone as noble-blooded as Yin Yao, especially during class.
As long as he kept his voice low, the teacher wouldn't care.
“Transfer student?”
Yin Yao caught the keyword and asked curiously.
Pei Jiang's eyes widened in surprise.
“You actually responded? The sun must've risen in the west. But that transfer student really is gorgeous.”
“Though she's kind of arrogant. Come to think of it, she's a bit like you.”
Yin Yao listened without showing any intention of stopping him.
Having found an interested listener, Pei Jiang chattered on endlessly.
Finally, he lowered his voice and asked mysteriously, “Do you know why she rejected Qiao Chen?”
“What was the reason?”
Yin Yao was rather curious. What reason would that little Sea Clan girl use to reject a human?
Pei Jiang glanced at the absent-minded Qiao Chen and whispered, “She said her bloodline was noble and Qiao Chen was too low-level, unworthy of someone as noble and beautiful as her. Don't you think she sounds exactly like you? You two must be the same species.”
“She isn't wrong.”
Yin Yao nodded in deep agreement.
He hadn't deliberately examined what race the Sea Clan girl belonged to, but he could sense the immense aura surrounding her.
Only those with truly noble bloodlines gave him such a feeling.
Pei Jiang: Heh. Just as expected. Birds of a feather.
Qiao Chen eagerly awaited the end of school.
Only then could he go see his little mermaid again.
Finally enduring until dismissal, he grabbed his schoolbag and sprinted all the way toward Tang Guo's classroom.
Yin Yao watched Qiao Chen's retreating figure thoughtfully and thought to himself that a low-blooded human like him would never catch the eye of that newly arrived Sea Clan girl.
She was right.
Qiao Chen was not worthy of someone as noble and beautiful as her.
