Chapter 1311: The Mermaid Princess (10)

Tang Guo nodded and smiled. “Hello, everyone. My name is A Guoguo.”

There were all kinds of strange names these days, so no one found it odd. Right now, all eyes in the classroom were fixed on the beautiful girl standing at the front.

They still remembered that last semester, a gorgeous transfer student had arrived and become the number one campus beauty.

Who would have thought that another one would appear in their class—and she seemed even prettier than Fuya, the current school belle.

After only a single class, the entire school knew that Class Two of Grade One had gained an incredibly beautiful transfer student.

Someone had secretly taken a picture of Tang Guo during class and uploaded it to the school forum.

During every break after that, students from other classes would sneak over to Class Two just to catch a glimpse of her. After satisfying their curiosity, they would leave and begin whispering among themselves.

“Fuya, your title as number one campus beauty might not last much longer.”

Fuya was busy folding paper cranes. It was a popular custom among humans. Supposedly, if you folded nine hundred and ninety-nine paper cranes and gifted them to the person you liked, they would understand your sincerity.

Hearing her deskmate's words, she continued folding carefully without even raising her head.

“Did something happen?” she asked calmly.

She really didn't care about such things. Humans always made a fuss over everything.

Among the merfolk, her beauty wouldn't even rank first.

There were plenty of blue-tailed mermaids more beautiful than her.

Not to mention silver-tailed and golden-tailed mermaids. Higher-ranked merfolk were naturally more beautiful than those of lower rank.

“A really pretty girl transferred into Class Two of Grade One. Lots of boys in the school are already supporting her. Everyone who's seen her in person says she's prettier than you, Fuya. Hey, why don't you have any reaction at all?”

“If she's pretty, then she's pretty.” Fuya casually swished another paper crane into shape. “It has nothing to do with me. As long as she doesn't steal Qiao Chen from me, she can do whatever she wants.”

“Qiao Chen, Qiao Chen, Qiao Chen! He's all you ever think about. Even your position is in danger now!”

No matter how much her deskmate complained, Fuya simply didn't care.

She had come to the bustling human world for Qiao Chen.

Not to compete with humans over beauty.

Humans were different from merfolk. There were many beautiful people, but even more ugly ones.

As for merfolk, there were hardly any ugly individuals.

Competing with humans in looks gave her no sense of accomplishment at all.

Meanwhile, Qiao Chen sat in his seat, hearing his classmates discussing the new transfer student in Class Two of Grade One.

They all said she was beautiful.

He didn't care.

That definitely wasn't his little mermaid.

When his little mermaid arrived at this school, she would enter Fuya's class—Class One of Grade Two.

Only his little mermaid could attract his attention.

No matter how beautiful other girls were, they meant nothing to him.

“Qiao Chen, take a look! The high-definition photos of the new girl are out. Damn, she's really prettier than Fuya. This year's number one beauty is definitely going to be her.”

Qiao Chen didn't even bother lifting his head.

His deskmate, Pei Jiang, could only shove his phone over.

“Qiao Chen, do me a favor and just take a look. Isn't she gorgeous? You don't like Fuya anyway. What do you think about this one? Maybe she's a good match.”

“Enough, Pei Jiang. If you like her, go pursue her yourself. I have no interest in any—”

He hadn't even finished saying “any girl” when his eyes casually swept over the screen.

And he froze.
