Tang Zhiming was still unconscious. Earlier, Liu Chunyue had been crying inside the ward, but the nurses had chased her out so she wouldn't disturb the other patients.

“I know about that.” The one who answered was Tang Mengmeng, the only daughter of Tang Lixing, Tang Lide's youngest brother. Chewing gum as she spoke, she mumbled through the whole story to Tang Guo.

Tang Zhiming, his girlfriend, and another couple had gone on the road trip together.

Before heading back, they had some drinks and were in high spirits. As a result, while taking a turn, they crashed into another car. The front of the other vehicle was severely damaged, but miraculously, the people inside only suffered minor injuries.

The only one seriously injured—and the one who ended up losing a leg—was Tang Zhiming.

“That's right, he never should've gone on that road trip.” Liu Chunyue wiped away her tears. “He never should've driven there.”

“You tell me—was this all your scheme?”

“I understand now! I understand everything!” Liu Chunyue shrieked. “You resented Zhiming for borrowing your car, didn't you? So you tampered with it! You sold him the car at a low price and deliberately caused him to get into an accident! You wanted him dead, didn't you?”

Her voice rose to a piercing wail.

“Give me back Zhiming's leg! Give me back my son's leg!”

Like a madwoman, Liu Chunyue lunged at Tang Guo with bared teeth and claws. Fortunately, Tang Guo had been prepared and stepped aside.

In the end, she simply sat down on the floor and clung to Song Jinghua, crying pitifully.
