Chapter 1094: The Flash Marriage Heiress (78)

Tang Guo stood up. “Don't stop me. If I change my mind, this divorce won't happen.”

The words at the tip of Luo Yicheng's tongue were swallowed back.

Holding the divorce agreement in his hand, he felt as though it were burning him.

This was clearly what he wanted, so why did his heart ache?

He wanted to stop Tang Guo. He wanted to tell her that the villa belonged to her in the first place, that she didn't need to leave. If anyone should go, it was him.

“Xiaoguo, this house is yours.”

“Your mother likes living here, and Auntie and I get along well. I remember your company is working on a project right now. Can you really afford to spend another huge sum on a new villa? Auntie is getting older, Yicheng. Whatever you do in the future, you should think more about her. It wasn't easy for her to raise you.”

Luo Yicheng's lips trembled, but in the end, no words came out.

Perhaps he should be grateful that his mother wasn't home tonight and had gone to his sister's house.

Tang Guo went upstairs to pack her luggage. She only took the necessities and came back down with a suitcase.

“I'll come back another day to get the rest of my things.”

As she reached the entrance and bent down to change her shoes, the front door suddenly opened.

Mother Luo, Elder Sister Luo, Brother-in-law Luo, and their two children had all returned.

The moment they saw Tang Guo pulling a suitcase and preparing to leave, everyone froze.

Elder Sister Luo's family adored Tang Guo, and both her children were especially close to her. In fact, when her eldest son had been applying to universities, it had been Tang Guo who helped him choose schools.

“Auntie, where are you going?” Elder Sister Luo's eldest son asked. “It's so late. Is there something urgent?” Then, noticing something wrong with her expression, he turned to look at Luo Yicheng, who sat on the sofa in visible panic. “Did Uncle bully you?”

“Xiaoguo, where are you going?” Mother Luo hurried over and grabbed Tang Guo. An ominous feeling had already risen in her heart.

This was completely beyond Luo Yicheng's expectations.

His original plan had been to get the divorce first and slowly explain things to Mother Luo afterward.

He never expected her to return tonight, bringing along Elder Sister Luo, her husband, and his nephews.

The quiet divorce he had envisioned could no longer be hidden.

Asking Xiaoguo to lie to his mother was impossible. He knew she would never deceive Mother Luo.

“Auntie Luo, I'm leaving.”

The instant she heard the form of address, Mother Luo's face changed dramatically. She clung tightly to Tang Guo.

“Xiaoguo, tell Mom, did Luo Yicheng bully you?”

“Luo Yicheng, did you bully Xiaoguo?”

“Quick, bring me my broom! Today I'll teach this unfilial brat a lesson for Xiaoguo!”

Mother Luo never believed Tang Guo had done anything wrong. If there was a problem, it had to be Luo Yicheng's fault. He must have committed some unforgivable mistake. Tang Guo had already started calling her Auntie instead of Mom—this matter was serious.

Countless terrible possibilities flashed through her mind.

Elder Sister Luo hurriedly found a broom and handed it over. Mother Luo shouted, “Close the door!”

With one hand clutching Tang Guo and the other wielding the broom, she rushed forward and mercilessly began beating Luo Yicheng.

Naturally, Luo Yicheng didn't dare resist.

After he had taken several hits, Tang Guo finally stopped Mother Luo.

“Auntie Luo… Yicheng and I are already divorced.”

“I don't agree!”

Mother Luo's face was filled with fury.

“Did he do something to betray you? Mom will punish him for you, all right? Xiaoguo, be good. Listen to Mom. Whatever it is, we can talk it through.”
