Chapter 1090: The Flash Marriage Heiress (74)
For half a month, Luo Yicheng had been searching for an opportunity to talk to Tang Guo about divorce.
The divorce agreement had already been prepared by his lawyer. As long as Tang Guo agreed and signed it, the two of them would have nothing to do with each other anymore.
But over the past two weeks, he hadn't managed to find a suitable chance.
Whenever he was home, Mother Luo was usually around. With her present, he instinctively felt that he couldn't bring up the matter.
He knew better than anyone how satisfied his mother was with Tang Guo as her daughter-in-law. If he dared mention divorce in front of her, the old lady would certainly make a huge scene.
Yet by the time the two of them returned to their room, all the courage he had painstakingly gathered would disappear.
Faced with Tang Guo's puzzled expression, he simply couldn't force the words out.
Ever since he and Qian Beibei had reunited, they met almost every day.
Qian Beibei didn't want to continue living like thieves in the dark, and neither did he.
They truly loved each other. It was only because of fate's cruel twists that they had missed one another in the past.
Dragging things out any longer would be bad for everyone.
“Yicheng, you still haven't told Miss Tang?” Sitting in the car, Qian Beibei looked aggrieved. “Have you become reluctant to leave Miss Tang? If that's the case, why don't you just tell me?”
“Beibei, that's not it.” Luo Yicheng hurriedly embraced her and comforted her. “If I really loved her, I wouldn't still be unable to forget you. Believe me, Beibei. I just need to find the right opportunity.”
“We've already been together again for more than half a month, Yicheng. Surely you can't keep failing to find a chance forever? As long as Miss Tang agrees, everything will be easy.”
“I know. But every time I prepare to say it, my mother is there. If she finds out I intend to divorce, she'll never agree.”
Qian Beibei felt miserable. “Yicheng, we absolutely can't let our parents become obstacles between us again. We've already wasted several years. We really can't miss each other anymore. Don't tell me you want me to wait another three years?”
“No.” Luo Yicheng held her tightly. “I'll find a chance to explain everything to Xiaoguo. As long as she agrees, we'll complete the divorce first. My mother can be dealt with slowly afterward. Once the divorce is finalized, we'll immediately get our marriage certificate. Then no one will be able to stand in our way.”
Qian Beibei finally relaxed. “All right, I trust you. You should go home. Find an opportunity to explain things to Miss Tang as soon as possible. You can't keep delaying her life either. She's still young. She can find someone better.”
Tang Guo was simply too perfect.
Luo Yicheng had managed not to fall for her over three years, but Qian Beibei couldn't guarantee that after four years, five years, or six years, he still wouldn't develop feelings.
“Miss Tang, how much longer are we waiting?”
Almost every day at this time, Gu Ye would invite Tang Guo to the cafรฉ, where the two of them would sit together and listen to Luo Yicheng and Qian Beibei pouring their hearts out to each other and exchanging endless declarations of love.
At first, Gu Ye had thought Tang Guo would be angry, or at least upset.
Yet every afternoon when she came, she would casually eat ice cream while listening. Once it was over, she would act as though nothing had happened.
“Did they really think it would be so easy, signing the divorce papers and ending everything?” Tang Guo wiped the corner of her mouth. “Our wedding was so grand. The divorce can't be any less spectacular.”
“Aren't they afraid of missing each other again? Since they dared to cheat within a marriage, then they should be prepared to pay the price for cheating.”
For the first time, Gu Ye finally heard something that sounded normal coming from this woman's mouth.
That's right.
These were the words one would expect from a woman who had been betrayed and was preparing for a divorce.
