Chapter 1089: The Flash Marriage Heiress (73)

Mother Luo said worriedly, “Yesterday we were worried sick. We couldn't reach you no matter how many times we called. Fortunately, we phoned the company this morning and found out you had already gone to work.”

“I understand, Mom. It won't happen again.”

“Oh, right, Yicheng. This year, shouldn't you and Xiaoguo start preparing to have a child?”

Hearing that, Luo Yicheng instinctively glanced at Tang Guo. His heart tightened. He was preparing for a divorce, so how could he possibly have children with Tang Guo?

“Mom, we're already making preparations,” Tang Guo said with a smile. “You don't need to worry about that.”

“Good, then.” Having brought it up once, Mother Luo didn't press further. Young people had their own plans. Old people like them shouldn't interfere too much and become annoying.

Her daughter-in-law was so easygoing; how could she deliberately create trouble for her?

Luo Yicheng secretly let out a sigh of relief, but Mother Luo added, “Then you two should get more rest. If you're planning on having children, you need to take care of yourselves. Only healthy parents can have healthy children.”

Tang Guo stood up in agreement and linked arms with Luo Yicheng as they returned to their room. Luo Yicheng locked the door behind them, while Tang Guo walked over to the wardrobe, pushed it aside, and entered the room next door.

That's right. They had secretly installed a hidden doorway between the two rooms afterward. It was because of this that they had managed to fool Mother Luo.

Elder Sister Luo only came to stay occasionally and usually lived with her husband.

Mother Luo was a clever old lady. Since her daughter-in-law was so wonderful, she had no intention of interfering in the younger generation's affairs, much less sneaking into their room. Thus, none of this had ever been discovered.

“Xiaoguo.”

Luo Yicheng stopped Tang Guo, intending to bring up the divorce.

Tang Guo turned around and said, “Yicheng, you don't need to feel pressured. I know you're not ready yet. I'll help you keep things from Mom until you're prepared to tell her. For now, you just need to rest well. You still have work tomorrow.”

Tang Guo's words left Luo Yicheng unable to speak.

“I understand. Get some rest.”

After Tang Guo slid the wardrobe back into place and disappeared from sight, Luo Yicheng collapsed onto the sofa dejectedly and rubbed his forehead.

How was he supposed to bring it up?

Xiaoguo was simply too good. Precisely because she was so good, there was nothing he could do to make up for hurting her.

Tang Guo slept soundly through the night. The next morning, the system informed her that Luo Yicheng had been unable to sleep next door and had gone to the company early in the morning, probably afraid someone would notice something.

Unfortunately for him, Mother Luo woke up early as usual. While out for her morning exercises, she noticed his poor complexion and couldn't help saying, “I've always told you to exercise more. Now you know how important your health is, don't you?”

Luo Yicheng went to the company in utter embarrassment.

After hearing this, Tang Guo chuckled. “Luo Yicheng's good days are only just beginning.”

The system silently advised Luo Yicheng to cherish these peaceful and warm moments while he still could. In the future, these memories would exist only in his recollections.

At the company, Luo Yicheng thought for a long time before finally summoning his personal lawyer.

“President Luo, is there a problem?”

“Draft a divorce agreement for me.”

The lawyer's eyes widened in disbelief. He almost lost his composure before remembering his professional duties and cautiously asking again, “President Luo, did you really say a divorce agreement? I didn't hear wrong?”

“Yes, a divorce agreement. Go prepare it.”

Luo Yicheng sighed softly. “I voluntarily give up all rights to any property under Tang Guo's name. As for everything under my own name, sixty percent will be transferred to Tang Guo.”

“President Luo…”

“Did you write it down?”

“Yes.”

“Then go.”

“Understood.”

“And one more thing. Keep it confidential.”

The lawyer walked out of the office with his mind in complete disarray, utterly unable to understand it. Everything had been perfectly fine—how had it suddenly come to divorce?
