“Miss Tang, look. Something’s happening.”

Gu Ye pointed at the phone screen, and Tang Guo leaned over to look. Sure enough, not long after drinking that beverage, Qian Beibei began feeling dizzy. The man who had secretly loved her appeared by her side at the perfect moment and supported her.

“Beibei, are you feeling unwell? Let me take you home so you can rest,” the man said with a concerned expression.

Qian Beibei shook her head weakly and tried to free herself, but her eyes drifted toward where Luo Yicheng was sitting.

Now that Luo Yicheng was a successful boss, his classmates were all busy currying favor with him. Though the two of them had practically confessed their feelings to each other, he still hadn’t divorced yet, so neither dared to act too openly.

If things became too obvious and rumors spread, it would sound terrible, even if they had once been in love for nine years.

“No, thank you.”

Qian Beibei understood this man's feelings, but the only person she loved was Luo Yicheng. Before long, she and Yicheng would be together again. How could she possibly become involved with someone else?

“Forget it. Let me take you home to rest first. We can talk about us slowly in the future, all right?”

This man had always behaved like a gentleman, whether during their school days or afterward. He had never displayed any rude or improper behavior.

Believing that he genuinely cared about her and liked her, Qian Beibei nodded in agreement.

She failed to notice the glimmer that flashed through his eyes.

The moment the man helped her into the car, a trace of regret surfaced in her heart.

Fortunately, he remained polite and didn't do anything inappropriate.

At last, she realized something was terribly wrong. Then the man's voice sounded beside her.

“Beibei, you're awake?”

“Where is this? This isn't my home. Where have you brought me?” Qian Beibei's face turned deathly pale. She finally understood that she had trusted the wrong person and should never have left with him.

Had she been fully conscious, she definitely wouldn't have gone with him. Back then, her mind had been muddled. Whatever he said, she had vaguely agreed to, without any thought of resisting.

Now, with no strength in her body, how could she not realize she had been drugged?

“Beibei, I’ve pursued you for so many years, yet you've never spared me a glance.” The man crouched beside the bed and stroked her beautiful face. “This time, when I came back and heard that you weren't with Luo Yicheng, that he had married a rich heiress, I thought I'd finally have a chance to win you over.”
