Chapter 1031: The Flash Marriage Heiress (15)
As for what to eat, she would notify her in advance every day. Aunt Xu didn't even need to go shopping. Tang Guo would simply place orders online, and everything would be delivered.
"Aunt Xu, I'll send you the menu for lunch and dinner a day ahead. The ingredients are ordered online and will be delivered to the house before ten in the morning."
Aunt Xu nodded repeatedly, secretly delighted. Just by cooking, cleaning, and washing things around the house, she could earn over ten thousand yuan a month. In this city, only maternity matrons generally earned that kind of salary.
She came from the countryside. Her hands and feet were quick, she worked diligently, and she was earnest in everything she did. She had become a housekeeper entirely to support her two children through college.
At her age, with no education and a body that couldn't endure the strain of factory work, housekeeping was one of the few jobs available to her.
Because of her excellent performance and numerous positive reviews, the agency had begun valuing her more and more. When they heard that a young lady offering over ten thousand yuan a month wanted a hardworking, honest housekeeper, her name had naturally been included among the candidates.
As it turned out, the young lady wasn't easy to fool. She asked questions more thoroughly than even housekeepers themselves and even tested their cooking skills on the spot.
Aunt Xu relied on her own abilities. She would earn every penny of her wages with honest work and never exaggerated her skills, answering only according to reality.
Several of her colleagues spoke much more sweetly, but in the end, none of them were chosen.
That made her happy.
This young lady clearly preferred hardworking people.
She wasn't afraid of hard work. As long as she was compensated fairly, she'd do everything to perfection.
What she feared most were picky employers who deliberately made things difficult no matter how well she performed.
"If you do well, there'll be bonuses at the end of the month. During New Year, you'll receive red envelopes and holidays too. If anything urgent comes up, just call me in advance."
Driving, Tang Guo continued, "For lunch, you'll need to deliver a portion to my husband's company. The same goes for dinner. Mine can simply be kept warm at home."
"Understood, Miss Tang."
After memorizing the route and confirming her starting date, Aunt Xu left.
That evening, when Luo Yicheng returned home, Tang Guo was sitting in the living room watching television.
Seeing him enter, she said, "Yicheng, I hired a housekeeper from a housekeeping company today."
"A housekeeper?"
Luo Yicheng was surprised for a moment. Then he remembered that Tang Guo was, after all, a rich young lady. Hiring a housekeeper was perfectly normal.
He merely nodded.
"Then I'll transfer even more of my salary to you from now on."
"No need. I can afford a housekeeper." Tang Guo smiled. "Didn't you say before that you'd give me half your monthly salary? That's already enough."
Luo Yicheng laughed.
Looking at Tang Guo sitting cross-legged on the sofa with that cheerful smile, much of the exhaustion from his day disappeared.
He sat down nearby and hesitated for a while before saying, "Xiaoguo, a week has already passed. Things between Qian Beibei and me are impossible now. But… I still need some time."
"Okay. I'll wait for you to forget her," Tang Guo replied.
Luo Yicheng finally relaxed.
For a pampered young lady like her to go this far had already exceeded all his expectations.
"Thank you."
System: You're thanking her too early.
In truth, during that week, whenever he wasn't busy, Luo Yicheng would inevitably recall the nine years he'd spent with Qian Beibei.
There had been joy.
There had been bitterness.
And what Qian Beibei had done on their wedding day had truly chilled his heart.
